The first thing you should do is find out a little about the seller. Does he sell a lot on eBay or is this his first sale. If the seller hasn´t made any previous sales on eBay you should be especially careful. Odds are that this is just his first sale but you might have a scammer on your hands. If the seller has sold a lot before you should check his feedback rating making sure to read all negative and neutral ratings the seller got (if he got any) even if they are several pages down. Pay special attention to his feedback on other large sales. Feedback from small sales doesn´t say much about how a larger transaction will turn out. Good feedback rating for other large transactions is on the other hand a good indication that he is a trustworthy seller. It can also be a good idea to Google his name to see if you can find anything else about the seller.
